Event Details

Walking Program (Start-Ups)

Be part of the Canadian delegation to Oi Americas and benefit from the connections you will make with other companies from across Canada. You will be invited to participate in a reception hosted by Canada on February 14, 2023 and in-market site tours planned in the local California market.

Walking Program registration fee: $200.00 payable online by credit card.

Whether you participate as a Co-exhibitor or the Walking Program, you will receive the following:

  • Trade mission briefing booklet and pre-mission briefing meeting (video conference)
  • On-the-ground support from Canadian Government officials and industry associations
  • Opportunities for local ocean technology site tours on February 17, 2023 (Details to be confirmed).

Travel Costs: Each company is responsible for cost of all travel, accommodation, and meals.

Contingency Plans in the Event of Travel Restrictions:

Oi Americas will be in-person, contingent on COVID protocols allowing travel and events. If this is not possible, a virtual option may be available, and there will be a full refund option.

The Association of British Columbia Marine Industries (ABCMI) is pleased to advise that registration is open for ABCMI Member companies seeking to co-exhibit within the Canada pavilion at the Oceanology International (OI) Americas conference & exhibition in San Diego, USA, February 14-16, 2023.

Oi Americas is the leading forum where industry, academia, and government share knowledge and connect with the world’s marine science and ocean technology communities. Taking place in the ocean tech hub of San Diego, join us in 2023 to promote your products and projects to quality buyers, create leads, and build long-lasting relationships and loyalty with key industry figures at Oi Americas. The 2023 show is projected to attract 2600 visitors, 175 exhibitors, 300 speakers and 150 presentations. 

Targeted Products

The top 20 products and services showcased at this show include:

Acoustics, AUVs, ROVs, Oceanography, Robotics, Sensors, Ocean Observation, Data Acquisition/Management, Sonar and Systems, Remote Systems, Bathymetric Survey, Unmanned Surface Vehicle, Camera, Marine Survey, Underwater Communications, Batteries, Beacons and Buoys, Submarines and Submersibles, Ocean Modeling, Unmanned Aeiral Systems (UASs)

There are two ways to participate:

  1. Co-exhibitor within the Canada Pavilion
  2. Walking Program (Aimed at start-ups who will benefit from participating in the delegation, but do not want to co-exhibit.)

Co-exhibitor in the Canada Pavilion:

The Canada Pavilion will be home to 19 companies from across the country, plus a welcome booth.

Each individual Co-exhibitor space will be 10 ft wide and 10 ft deep, and includes:

  • Two co-exhibitor passes per company
  • One locking cabinet
  • Counter space to display products
  • Two stools or chairs
  • Literature rack
  • Concealed garbage can
  • Booth graphics: includes print production for each Co-exhibitor (Each counter will display the co-exhibitor’s company logo. Each back and/or side wall(s) will include graphics. Companies are responsible for the provision of booth graphics.)
  • Basic electricity
  • Access to Wi-Fi
  • LED lighting where it is necessary
  • Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes
  • Option for a flat screen tv/monitor at cost to the Co-exhibitor

Co-exhibitor registration fee: $2000.00 for ABCMI Members and $3000.00 for Non-Members payable online by credit card.

There are a limited number of booths available within the Canada Pavilion and strong demand is expected. Registrations will be confirmed pending screening by the trade mission organizing committee for eligibility and suitability to participate as payment is received. The final deadline for all registrations is November 30, 2022. If your company is not selected to participate in the Canada Pavilion, a full refund will be issued.
